Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic at HSJC
The Details
Johnson County Community Foundation awarded us a $250,000 community grant made possible by the Lilly Endowment's Capital and Capacity Building Matching Cycle Grant. These funds, along with the matching $250,000 we've raised, will fund the construction of a low-cost spay and neuter clinic at our current location.

What started as a tiny seed of an idea more than a year ago has now been given an official green light thanks to this incredibly impactful grant.
On August 15, we had the groundbreaking ceremony for the clinic, and construction is underway on the building, with plans to welcome the first animals to the clinic in 2026.
We can't wait to share more details as they become available!
"The clinic will have the ability to spay or neuter 3,600 animals in the first year, eliminating 20,000 births of unwanted homeless animals in the process."
